We congratulate Kosser Amin at our Sheffield office who has recently passed the examination for the Certificate in Patent Administration of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys.
The Patent Administrators examination focuses on the detailed procedures of representation before the UK Intellectual Property Office, European Patent Office and World Intellectual Property Office for filing, prosecution, grant and maintenance of UK, European and International patent applications.
The CIPA patent administration certificate differs from the registered patent attorney examinations in that the latter includes the formulation of direct advice to clients on substantive legal matters, whereas the former deals primarily with administrative and procedural matters.
