Prior to Franks & Co (Mancunium) Limited, Sang worked for Mancunium IP, an IP Services firm in Manchester for several years. In May 2017, Mancunium IP became Franks & Co (Mancunium) Limited.
Previously, Sang worked for T M Gregory & Co, a firm of European Patent Attorneys in Northampton, where he gained widespread experience in all substantive matters of Intellectual Property practice. T M Gregory & Co merged with Franks & Co to create Franks & Co (South) in 2009.
Sang has a BEng (Hons) in Electronics & Communications Engineering from The University of Nottingham, where he specialised in integrated circuits, embedded microprocessor systems and software engineering. He holds a Master’s degree in the Management of Intellectual Property from Queen Mary & Westfield College, University of London.
Sang is a part–qualified Patent Attorney. He is an associate member of The Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA).
Sang has represented clients whose technologies have included mechanical devices, nanotechnology, energy-saving devices, medical devices, wireless devices, anti-theft systems, aquatic inventions, sports-related inventions and many other technologies.
Sang also has experience with Trade Mark and Design registration work, including filing of oppositions, and prosecution of applications, conducting audits, free to use or clearance searches, and drafting goods and services specifications.
In his spare time, Sang enjoys building his own furniture, cooking, travelling and hiking.
Sang is a director of Franks & Co (Mancunium) Limited.
