APPLE has retained its position as the worlds most valuable brand, according to brand management firm Interbrands annual rankings.

This year Apple has increased its brand value by 43% to $170,276 billion.

GOOGLE was the second most valuable in the world, increasing its brand value by 12% to $120,314 billion.

AMAZON was among the top risers (+ 29%).

Coca-Cola, Microsoft, IBM, Toyota, Samsung, GE and Mc Donald’s are also in Interbrand’s top 10.

To conduct its annual study, Interbrand measures companies’ financial performance, the role that brand plays in influencing customer choice and the strength the brand has to command a premium price or secure earnings for the company.
