Managing Registered Design renewal fees in the UK and abroad.
In the UK a renewal fee is payable on the fifth anniversary of registration and then once every five years until the life of the registration expires at 25 years.
As the renewal fee is not payable until 6 months before each five year due date it can be easy to overlook. If you have an International Registered Design portfolio the differing rules for different jurisdictions can make the situation more difficult still.
Our renewals team are able to reliably calculate the due dates of renewal fees in multiple jurisdictions and sent reminders in due time to ensure timely payment is made, securing your rights for the full term of protection.
